Are you interested in participating in the student athletic training program at the high school? Stop by the front office and pick up an application form and turn it into the front office when the form is completed.
New athletic training students will be working spring football practice starting April 29, so get your application turned in today!
An informational parent meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the AMS Bearcat Den. Parents, please bring the student course registration packet with you to the meeting.

On Tuesday, April 29, there will be a MANDATORY parent information meeting from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. regarding summer school offerings for acceleration. The meeting will be held in the Lecture Hall at Daniel Ninth Grade Campus. Current students in grades 8-12 will be allowed to enroll. Courses will be offered through the Texas Virtual School Network and Texas Tech ISD. There is a cost associated with these courses and varies from each provider. Aledo ISD will offer Speech and Health, however other course offerings are being discussed and approved. More information will be available at the meeting.

The AMS Symphonic Winds Band participated in the Region 7 UIL Band Concert and Sight-Reading Competition on April 9. The competition was held at Burleson Centennial High School.
Our band received straight "1s" at the competition.

Aledo ISD experienced an unusually high number of school cancellations due to weather issues this year. According to the adopted school calendar, two of the makeup days will occur on Friday, April 18, and Monday, May 26.
The district requested waivers from the Texas Education Agency for the remaining number of missed days. The commissioner approved the request, so the remaining four days missed will not have to be made up. The last day of school is Thursday, June 5.

Cheerleading Camp will be June 9 to June 13. The camp will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the middle school MPC.
