AMS Student Wins Blue Ribbon at State Fair
AMS student Blaze Mayes and his prized heavyweight goat were winners at the state fair this week. Blaze was in charge of taking care of his goat each day for the last seven months. Twice a day, he would feed, water, exercise, weigh and groom the goat. All of the hard work paid off with a state fair blue ribbon for Blaze and "Luke" the goat.

Teacher Activity Featured Online
One of our eighth grade math teachers recently took a giant leap into project based learning with the Nepris Technology Integration Program. She is also featured in this month's Tech & Learning online magazine. It was an awesome activity for the students as the students were able to skype with a roller coaster builder.

Elements of Art
In Art class, students learned about the elements of art which are line, shape, form, space, color, value and texture. Artists were challenged to create a polyhedral straw sculpture that demonstrated their knowledge of line, shape, form and color. The results were amazing and are displayed in the art room.
