What is Bearcat Nation all about?
Attend Bearcat Nation 101 on Saturday, Aug. 5, in the Aledo High School Cafeteria to learn about the traditions in Aledo ISD and the Aledo Community. Come and go from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to meet and talk with representatives from organizations within the school district, as well as the surrounding community.
Whether you are new to Aledo ISD or have been a part of Bearcat Nation for many years, this is the best way to learn about school events and youth opportunities that are a big part of the Bearcat Nation tradition. Click here to view a printable Bearcat Nation 101 flyer.

If you are building a new home in our district and plan to enroll your children in our schools, then please make sure that your contract lists a closing date within six months of enrollment. The house must close within 6 months of the first day the student plans to attend school.
If parents are enrolling now for the 17/18 school year, the contract must show a closing date on the contract and that date has to be on or before Feb. 28, 2018.
Aledo ISD will host an immunization clinic August 10 in the Aledo Middle School Library from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. All immunizations required to attend school will be available for all grade levels. A copy of the child’s most recent immunization records is required.
Students with insurance – please bring a copy of your insurance card so that insurance can be billed. Students who have no insurance will receive immunizations at no cost.
If you have any questions, then please call the Parker County Health Department at 817-458-3254.
From the Language Arts Teachers-
Because research states that students who do not read over the summer experience significant drops in decoding skills and reading levels, the seventh grade teachers highly recommend students to read at least one book off of the list over the summer. *Starred novels are more challenging for Pre-AP.

Two of our AMS students and two of the AMS teachers recently toured the CBS station and met with Jeff Jamison. According to the teachers, Ms. Vandergriff and Ms. Albin, they had the BEST TIME EVER! They were able to tour the station and interview Mr. Jamison. Emelia Gamez and Olivia Caggiano were very impressed with the tour and Mr. Jamison. He patiently walked them through the station and answered all the questions put forth by the students. We wish to thank the CBS station for their hospitality.
If you would like to view more pictures of the tour and interview, go to the middle school Facebook page.
February 7 was opening night for the AMS musical production. We are so proud of the AMS students involved in the production. Mr. Yandell and Ms. Perryman's leadership and talents were spotlighted during opening night.
We would like to extend an invitation for students, parents, and teachers to attend the musical and experience the excitement for themselves. There are several more productions this week.
A special thank you to all of the parents that have devoted their time and effort for the musical. It is appreciated.
